I know its only May..... but would this seem like a cheesy Christmas present?

Ohk. So I'm 19, working 35 hours a week at minimum wage. I'm trying to get into couponing and work my way to free toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, deodorant, shampoo, etc or even foods that don't spoil like boxed foods (oatmeal,etc.....) Would it be dumb to make little gift basket type things for family members i would nomally get gifts for? I mean, it somethng they could use, saves them money, and me money. Idk... Opinion please. Yay or Nay? Would you like it if you received that?
